X-Women track & field athlete Bridget Brennan was named the StFX Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending Mar. 13, 2016. Bridget, a first year Education student (5th year eligibility) from Beechwood, NB finished sixth overall in the pentathlon at the CIS championship in Toronto over the weekend. Her point tally of 3555 was a personal best and included a gutsy first-place performance in the 800m event. Bridget also competed in the long jump, placing 11th overall at 5.39m. In the 300m dash, she came 13th in the preliminaries with a 41.27 clocking, but did not advance to the final race.
