X-Women track & field athlete Bridget Brennan was named the StFX Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending Feb. 28, 2016. Bridget, a first year Education student (5th year eligibility) from Beechwood, NB was named the AUS female athlete of the meet at the AUS championship this weekend in Moncton. She won the gold medal in the 300m dash with a time of 41.07, bronze in the pentathlon (3489 pts) and bronze with the X-Women 4x400m relay team (4:02.64). She also placed 4th in the long jump (5.26m) and competed in the 60m dash. Her pentathlon results were 1st place in the 60m hurdles and 800m, 2nd place in the long jump and 4th place in the high jump and shot put.
