X-Women rugby lock Emma Taylor was named the StFX Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending Nov. 2, 2014. Emma, a fifth year Business student from Scotsburn, NS was named tournament MVP as she helped lead her X-Women team to the CIS national championship title in Guelph on the weekend. Emma scored 2 tries in the 43-34 victory over McMaster in the championship game and had three tries, including the game winning try on the last play of the game, in StFX’s 27-24 win over Western that advanced them to the final. A CIS tournament all-star and CIS All-Canadian, Emma also scored a pair of tries and was the player of the game in the X-Women’s 41-17 win over Alberta in their first game of the tournament.
