X-Women dual-sport athlete Jenna Downey was named the StFX Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending Oct. 19, 2014. Jenna, a first year Education student (fifth year eligibility) from Stratford, Ont., is in her fifth season as a defense with the X-Women hockey team and is playing her first season as a center with the X-Women rugby team. She played hockey in UPEI Friday night, scoring StFX’s lone goal in a 2-1 loss, then followed up with a goal and an assist in StFX’s 4-2 win over Moncton on Saturday. She also had 7 shots on net. Jenna then scored one try for the X-Women rugby team on Sunday in their 115-0 victory over Saint Mary’s.
