Bryden Tate, Boston Pizza Male Athlete of the Week

X-Men track & field runner Bryden Tate was named the StFX Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending Feb. 23, 2014. Bryden, a third year Business student from Heatherton, NS helped lead the X-Men to their first ever AUS championship banner this past weekend in Moncton. He was a double gold medalist, taking home top honors in both the 1000m (2:37.75) and 1500m (4:04.08) events. He earned his third medal of the weekend with the X-Men 4x800m relay team, winning silver, and just missed the podium with a 4th place showing in the 3000m race (8:46.12). For his efforts, Bryden was honored as the AUS male track athlete of the year and as the MVP of the AUS championship meet.
