X-Women hockey forward Connor Garagan was named the StFX Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending Mar. 2, 2014. Connor, a first year Human Kinetics student (in her 2nd year eligibility) from Ottawa, ON scored a goal in each of the X-Women’s three AUS playoff games this past week. In the best 2-of-3 game semifinal playoff series against Mount Allison, Connor scored the opening StFX goal in the first period in a 4-1 win Tuesday night in game one at StFX, then followed up by scoring their lone goal in a 3-1 loss Thursday in Sackville in game two. She scored the X-Women’s first goal Saturday night in game three to tie the game at 1-1, though the X-Women went on to fall 3-2 in double overtime.
