Andrew McConnell, an exceptional football player, enters the Hall of Fame with an incredible array of AUAA and CIAU awards. Andrew was a three-time AUAA all-star, a first team CIAU All-Canadian in 1985 and 1986, and was the AUAA lineman of the year, also in 1985 and 1986, garnering him nominations for the J.P. Metras award for the outstanding lineman in the country. Andrew earned these awards during his four year career from 1983 to 1987 as a defensive lineman with the X-Men football team. A starter in every game over four years, Andrew was also a three-year captain and a key component of the X-Men defense during his time on the StFX gridiron.
