Savanna Jordan of the Dalhousie Tigers women's cross country team is the Subway Atlantic University Sport female athlete of the week for the week ending Oct. 29, 2017.

A first-year kinesiology student from Calgary, Jordan captured first-place honours at the Subway AUS Women's Cross Country Championship hosted by Acadia University in Wolfville, N.S. this past weekend.

Her time of 30:05.0 in the women's 8km race was over 50 seconds faster than the second-place runner.

Following her win, she was named Subway Athlete of the Meet. At the AUS banquet that followed the race, she earned AUS Athlete of the Year, AUS Rookie of the Year and AUS all-star honours.

School: St. Francis Xavier University
Sport: Men's Cross Country
Hometown: Calgary, Alta.
Year of eligibility: Third
Academic program: BBA

Angus Rawling of the StFX X-Men cross country team is the Subway Atlantic University Sport male athlete of the week for the week ending Oct. 29, 2017.

A third-year business student from Calgary, Alta., Rawling earned a gold medal at the Subway AUS Men's Cross Country Championship hosted this past weekend in Wolfville, N.S. by Acadia University.

He finished with a time of 31:43.55 in the men's 10km race and was named Subway Athlete of the Meet.

At the championship banquet following the race, he was named AUS Athlete of the Year and earned a spot on the AUS all-star team.

Throughout the 2017-18 season, each Subway Atlantic University Sport Athlete of the Week will receive a $50 Subway gift card and a signed certificate courtesy of Subway and Atlantic University Sport.
