X-Women cross country race to first place in Moncton
Led by Natalie Kannenberg, the StFX X-Women captured their third consecutive first place finish with a win at the Université de Moncton Invitational cross country meet Saturday afternoon in Moncton.
Kannenberg (19:28) took first in a top-five rounded out by X-Women teammates Kelly MacDonald, (2nd, 19:38); Tory Anderson, (3rd, 19:48), Melissa Hardy (4th, 19:52) and Becky Reeves (5th, 20:03).
Natasha Herron (8th, 20:16) and Meggie Soehl (9th, 20:21) finished in the top-ten for the blue and white. Liz O’Connell (11th, 20:32), Allison Trenholm (13th, 20:40), Sarah Deveau, (15th, 21:12) and Beth MacNeil (21st, 22:34) also competed for the X-Women.
StFX finished with 15 points in the 5k race, followed by Acadia (70), St. Thomas (83), St. Mary’s (90) and Moncton (107).
The X-Women return to action Saturday, Oct. 15, when they will compete in the Dalhousie University Invitational in Halifax.
