Getting to Know...Natasha Herron
X-Women cross country runner Natasha Herron is the latest athlete featured in our Getting to Know your X-Women and X-Men series throughout the summer. Natasha recently completed her third year at StFX and first year eligibility with the X-Women and is a Business student from Orillia, Ont.
Nickname: Princess
What brought you to StFX?
I had been talking to Bernie Chisholm over the phone for a while. I decided to come out and visit. It had been my first time on the East coast, and I loved it!
What has been your best moment in a StFX uniform so far?
There have been many moments over the past few seasons that stand out. But one of the "best" would be running at the CIS Championships in Laval. Showing off the talent that X has and beating our rivals Dalhousie, after a tough loss at the AUS championships, was very memorable.
One thing I cannot live without is…?
The heat! Since I am always so cold, I love the feeling of heat on my hands and feet! Saunas, fires, and even getting into a really hot car in the summer after it’s been sitting in the sun all day.
If I could have super-hero powers I would…?
I would love to fly
My biggest pet peeve is…?
When people are driving or walking slow. I am often late so I'm always in a rush so I do not work well with slow walkers/drivers.
My dream vacation destination is…?
I want to spend some time in Australia to hangout and be a beach bum. Hanging out in the sun and being in the ocean everyday would be a dream of mine!
My dream job is…?
My dream job is to be a Judge. I grew up watching Judge Judy and for some reason loved it! Being in charge of the court room and how she makes snarky comments whenever she wanted, made it look like fun.
Tell us one thing that fans may not know about you?
I listen to slow country songs while warming up!
