Moncton, NB – The St. Francis Xavier X-Women came out on top of the Université de Moncton Aigles Bleues by a 2-0 score Thursday evening in Atlantic University Sport soccer action at Stade Croix Bleue Medavie Stadium.

The Aigles Bleues drop to 2-4-2 on the season in seventh place in the AUS standings, while the X-Women improve to 6-0-3 and sit in third position. The teams had played previously to a tied 0-0 game in Antigonish on September 29th.

Christina Gentile registered the shutout with two saves, as compared to nine for Aigles Chelsea Burnham, in the loss. StFX benefited from five corner kicks and Moncton, none. The game did provide very good play, but the visitors were dominant in possession for the majority of the time.
