X-Women shutout Aigles Bleues 4-0

Moncton – The StFX X-Women shutout the Universite de Moncton Aigles Bleues by a 4-0 margin Saturday afternoon in AUS action at Moncton Stadium. 

Subway player of the game, Chloe Brennan, led the X-Women with three goals as the X-Women improve to 2-0-1 on the season.

After a scoreless first half, Kelsey Ellis tallied the first X-Women goal unassisted in the 49th minute.

Brennan then scored her first goal in the 73rd minute, assisted by Mercy Myles and Ellis. She followed up with consecutive markers in the 87 and 88 minute marks. Logan Lee-Knight added a helper on the second Brennan goal and the final one was unassisted.

Erin Visser registered the shutout for the X-Women with four saves. StFX outshot Moncton 14-5 on the day.

Aigles Bleues keeper Catherine Poirier was tagged with the loss.

The X-Women are back in action Sunday afternoon as they take on the Dalhousie Tigers in Halifax for a 1:00 pm match.
