Antigonish, NS - The StFX X-Women (3-2-5) and Memorial University Sea-Hawks (5-3-2) played to a scoreless tie in AUS soccer action Sunday afternoon at StFX Oland Stadium.

In front of more than 200 fans on Homecoming weekend, the hometown X-Women had the best scoring opportunity of the first half in the 27th minute. Defender Olivia Wilkie (St-Therese, QC) headed a corner kick from teammate Claire Gibbons (Ottawa, ON), but Sea-Hawks keeper Hannah Noseworthy (Conception Bay South, NL) made a diving save to keep the match scoreless.

Noseworthy made six saves for the Sea-Hawks while the X-Women defense held Memorial to two shots as Erin Visser (Whitby, ON) earned the shutout.

Maura Woodman (Halifax, NS) of the X-Women led all players with three shots.

The X-Women recorded five corner kicks, while the Sea-Hawks attempted four.

"We need to keep working on our attack and getting more shots," X-Women midfielder and Subway player of the match Olivia Czipf (Thunder Bay, ON) said after the game.

Czipf had the best scoring chance of the second half for the X-Women, but her shot from 22 yards rang off the crossbar over the outstretched arm of Noseworthy.
