X-Women handle Concordia 74-15

Montreal, QC – The U SPORTS No. 1 ranked StFX X-Women defeated the Concordia Stingers by a lopsided 74-15 margin in exhibition play Saturday afternoon in Montreal.

The X-Women rebounded off a 33-19 loss to Ottawa yesterday evening.

A total of 11 different X-Women crossed the try line in the game in a unified contribution. Tries were scored by Sam Lake, Carolyn Williams, Amelia Hatfield, Sara McCarron with two, Joanna Alphonso, Alison Blanchard, Sophie Parker, Carleigh Walters, Maggie McDonald, Danielle Franada and Alexandra Hamilton.

Franada made good on seven conversions to finish with 19 points on the afternoon.

The X-Women will make their way back to the Maritimes where they will next see action on Sunday, October 15th when they travel to Wolfville to face the Acadia Axewomen. The game will be the last one of the AUS regular season.
