X-Women Hockey add Lewis to lineup for 2020

ANTIGONISH, NS – StFX X-Women hockey head coach Ben Berthiaume is proud to report the signing of forward Abby Lewis for the 2020-21 season.

Abby is a 5'10" left winger from Kanata, Ont. who is currently in her third season with the Nepean Wildcats of the PWHL. Lewis brings size and skill to the X-Women lineup. As a 16-year old in the PWHL, she recorded 13 goals and 12 assists in 36 games. Lewis plays well on both sides of the puck and uses her size and reach well to win puck battles.

Coach Berthiaume had the following to say about the addition of Lewis to the X-Women squad for next year. "Abby is a high-end recruit that we've been tracking for the past two seasons. She was highly sought after and we are very happy that she has chosen StFX."

"Abby's mix of power and skill will help us offensively right away. She is also a good player off the puck, and has shown versatility in playing wing and center. We look forward to seeing Abby in our lineup; she will help strengthen us up the wall and should work nicely with our returning forward group."

Lewis is planning to study Human Kinetics at StFX this fall. She joins fellow X-Women recruits forwards Kristen Marshall (Whitby, ON) and Chloe Oleksiuk (Winnipeg, MB).
