CIS TOP TEN TUESDAY (#14)
No changes at the top in last rankings of fall semester

OTTAWA (CIS) – There are no changes at the top in the final CIS national rankings of the fall semester, with Windsor (women's basketball), Carleton (men's basketball), Montreal (women's hockey), UBC (women's & men's swimming) and Alberta (men's hockey, women's volleyball & men's volleyball) all holding on to their No. 1 status.

The CIS weekly rankings will resume in early January.

In basketball, both reigning national champions, the Windsor Lancer women (7-0) and Carleton Raven men (8-0), are undefeated heading into the December break.

In women's hockey, the top-ranked Montreal Carabins (8-2) and defending CIS champ McGill Martlets (7-2), currently ranked No. 2, have exchanged the pole position throughout the first half of the regular schedule.

In men's hockey, the University Cup champion Alberta Golden Bears show a stellar 15-3 league record at the break.

Alberta also leads the way in volleyball, with the Pandas currently sitting at 11-3 and the reigning champion Golden Bears winning all 14 of their conference games so far this season.

In swimming, the UBC Thunderbirds swept the team banners at the recent Canada West championships and currently hold commanding leads in both the women's and men's national rankings.
