A handful of X-Women runners competed at the U SPORTS national championship at the Irving Oil Fieldhouse this past weekend in five events.

U SPORTS proudly announced Monday the student-athletes selected as Top 8 Academic All-Canadians for the 2020-21 season. Jane Hergett of StFX, Joe Gatenby of UNB, Samantha Gouveia of MacEwan, Max Eisele of Calgary, Brigitte Lefebvre-Okankwu of Ottawa, Erik Siksna of Queen’s, Marie-Pier Champagne of Laval and Félix Goulet of Montréal were nominated for their excellence both on and off the field of play.

The STFX track team competed at the Subway AUS Championship on Friday and Saturday at the CEPS Louis-J.-Robichaud and took home nine medals.

Runners with the STFX program are primed to race away with podium finishes this weekend at the 2022 Subway Atlantic University Sport (AUS) Track and Field Championships.

Members of the X-Men and X-Women indoor track team competed at the ANS Indoor Open Saturday at the Canada Games Centre. Many STFX runners set personal best records at the meet.

The STFX track team finally saw some AUS competition for the first time this season as they participated in the UNB Reds University Invitational at the Irving Oil Field House over the weekend.

StFX Athletics is pleased to announce that Antigonish, N.S. runner Siona Chisholm as the most recent recipient of the Danny Gallivan Memorial Scholarship. The scholarship is StFX Athletics most prestigious scholarship and is awarded to Canadian male and female varsity athletes who combine qualities of leadership with academic excellence.

Atlantic University Sport released the 2021-22 schedules today for both fall and winter sports. Hosts and dates for the fall and winter conference championships were also confirmed.
