Getting to Know...Robert Kennedy

X-Men track & field thrower Robert Kennedy is the latest athlete featured in our Getting to Know your X-Women and X-Men series throughout the summer. Robert recently completed his second year with the X-Men (third year eligibility) and is a Nursing student from Truro, N.S.

My favorite moment to date as a StFX student-athlete is…?
Being a part of the first ever track and field AUS banner to make it home to X!

If I could be Prime Minister for one day I would…?
Relax with friends and family while enjoying a fully served meal of steak, sushi, and chicken wings, and of course all would be extremely overpriced, but then conclude the night by attending a major sporting event, dependent of the season of course.

My favorite Disney movie or character is…?
Most recently, from the movie Frozen, the large guy that sits behind the trading post desk and when someone enters says "yooouuu hooooo" in a high pitched voice is pretty awesome.

My biggest pet peeve is…?
Finding hair in my food…it's the only time I will throw food away, or at a restaurant return my order and walk out.

My dream job is…?
Registered Nurse, or physician, but mainly being able to bring some happiness and smiles to the health care profession, since illness and disease can be a hard time in people's lives.

One thing I love about StFX is…?
If I could only pick one, I'd have to say the staff and the coaches for sure! Due to the fact that everyone is so helpful, knowledgeable, and willing to help in any way they can.

Tell us something interesting about your hometown?
My home town of Truro, N.S. still has a traditional style clothing factory, Stanfields, and is home of the Truro Lions Throws Club.
