Scotty earns CIS award
Mar 6, 2008 - X-Women track athlete Sarah Skotty received national recognition at the CIS track and field awards luncheon where she was named the CIS Student-Athlete Community Service award winner. The awards recognizes balance and excellence in athletics, academics and community service.
\r\nSarah, an education student from Greene, NY is in her fifth and final year of eligibility with the StFX track program and has had a successful sporting career in both indoor track and cross country. She will be participating in the 3000m event this weekend at the CIS track championship at McGill University, qualifying as the AUS champion in the event. She enters the race ranked 11th overall in the CIS and placed 7th overall in the event last year. She is a co-captain with the X-Women and was last year's StFX recipient of the Track Coach's award for Determination and Dedication. As a member of the cross country team, she won a team CIS bronze medal this past fall.
