X-Men defeat Moncton 4-1

MONCTON, NB – The Université de Moncton Aigles Bleus fell 4-1 to the StFX X-Men in Atlantic University Sport soccer action, Saturday at Stade Moncton Stadium.

The X-Men got three goals from Subway player of the game, midfielder Dan Hayfield, all coming in the opening half. Hayfield scored in the 6th minute from Alex Taylor, then tallied an unassisted goals in the 25th and 30th minutes.

Freshman midfielder Blake Fenton scored the fourth visitors goal right at the end of the first half, while Jean-Michel Dako, on a head shot, in the 51st minute of play, had the local team's lone marker of the game.

André LeBlanc was the Moncton keeper tagged with the loss, with StFX's Matthew Lannan earning the win for the visiting X-Men.

Next on the AUS schedules sees Moncton hosting the Cape Breton University Capers, Sunday at 3:15 pm. The X-Men will travel to Fredericton to meet the UNB Varsity Reds, also Sunday at 3:15 pm.
