Meghan Earle of the Acadia Axewomen's soccer team is the Subway Atlantic University Sport female athlete of the week for the week ending Oct. 4, 2015.

A third-year kinesiology student from Mount Pearl, N.L., Earle had a two-goal weekend in one win and one tie game for the Axewomen.

She netted Acadia's first goal in their 2-2 tie against the Dalhousie Tigers at home on Friday. In Sunday's 1-0 victory over the X-Women in Antigonish, Earle scored the game's lone marker.

Earle currently leads the AUS conference in goals with nine so far this season.

Randy Ribeiro of the StFX X-Men's soccer team is the Subway Atlantic University Sport male athlete of the week for the week ending Oct. 4, 2015.

A fifth-year midfielder from Cambridge, Ont., Ribeiro put forth an exceptional defensive effort as the X-Men recorded two weekend shutout victories.

Ribeiro scored the first goal of the game in Friday's 2-0 win versus Saint Mary's. In Sunday's 3-0 victory over the previously undefeated Acadia Axemen, the StFX captain assisted on the X-Men's third goal.
