X-Men and Capers battle to scoreless draw

The X-Men soccer team battled with the Cape Breton Capers Friday evening at Oland Stadium and after 90 minutes of play, the game ended in a 0-0 draw.

Both teams had several excellent scoring chances throughout the game but X-Men goaltender Steven Rodenhizer held strong in the X net, making 12 saves. Capers keeper Ethan MacInnis made three saves.

Rodenhizer was honored as the Subway player of the game for his efforts.

Capers midfielder Sandro Rajkovic was player of the game for Cape Breton.

The game was the fourth tie of the season for the X-Men, whose record stands at 5-3-4 with one AUS regular season game remaining.

StFX will host the Memorial Sea-Hawks (2-8-1) on Sunday at 1:15 pm. The AUS championship is schedule for Nov. 1-3 in Halifax at Saint Mary's University.
