ANTIGONISH, NS – StFX men's hockey head coach Brad Peddle is pleased to announce that forward Brodi Stuart from Langley, B.C. will be joining the X-Men program for the 2020-21 season.

"We are very pleased with the commitment of Brodi Stuart to our X-Men Hockey program," notes Coach Peddle. "He comes highly recommended from former coaches and contacts out West and is great person with tremendous leadership skills and very good two-way player. He possesses a good skill set to compliment an outstanding work ethic and compete level."

"We feel Brodi will be a great fit with the identity of our team, and we look forward to seeing him in blue and white in the fall."

With no major junior action this past season due to the pandemic, Stuart played the previous three years with the Kamloops Blazers of the WHL, where he served as an assistant captain, amassing 115 points (45 G, 70A) in 204 regular season games played.

The 5'11", 181 pound left winger was the 2020 Blazers Unsung Hero award winner. Stuart was also honored in 2019 with both the Blazers Most Dedicated Player award and Inspirational Leadership and Ability award.

He looks forward to joining the X-Men in the fall commenting, "I am super excited to come to StFX. I have heard nothing but good things about the hockey program, the school, and town. I'm looking forward to the experience of going out East for the first time and at becoming an X-Man."

Stuart joins previously announced recruit, and fellow forward, Jacob Hudson (Antigonish, NS), as the X-Men's first commitments for the 2021-22 season.
