"This bid represents a real opportunity for St. FX and Saint Mary's to bring the very best of
university hockey in Canada to Halifax. To help us reach our goal of 3,000 tickets sold before
September 20, our alumni and fans can make a commitment to purchase individual tournament
packages," stated Leo MacPherson, Director of Athletics at St. FX and Dr. David Murphy,
Director of Athletics at Saint Mary's.

Tournament ticket packages must be purchased for both years of the tournament. Prices for these packages per year will be $119.00 for Adults, $99.00 for Seniors (60+) and $75.00 for Youth (12 & Under) (plus HST). To reserve a seat for a minimum of seven games, a $2.00 online

is successfully awarded the championship event.

In partnership with Sports & Entertainment Atlantic, the teams will bid to host the annual
Canadian Interuniversity Sport event for the first time in Nova Scotia since its inception in 1963.

The St. FX X-Men, led by head coach Brad Peddle, would be the host team for the 2015
championship, while the Saint Mary's Huskies, led by head coach Trevor Stienburg, would be
the host team for the 2016 championship.

Both championships would be held at the Halifax Metro Centre, which has hosted hockey events
such as the 2000 Memorial Cup, 2003 IIHF World Junior Hockey Championship, 2005 IIHF
World Women's Hockey Championship, and 2008 IIHF World Men's Hockey Championship,
which was the first time this event was held outside Europe in the IIHF's 100 year history.

St. FX successfully hosted the 2006, 2009 and 2010 CIS women's hockey championship in
Antigonish, N.S. and most recently the 2012 CIS Women's Rugby Championship. The X-Men
have 10 University Cup appearances and were national champions in 2004, as well as silver
medallists in 2001 and 2003. The Huskies were CIS silver medallists in the 2012 season as well
as claiming the CIS national title in 2010. The team has appeared in 13 national championships.
