X-Men lose close game to Panthers

Sydney, NS -  The UPEI Panthers salvaged their weekend by beating the SFX X-Men on the final day of the Capers 2017 Fall Classic tournament. The Panthers used a balanced attack with four players hitting double digits in the victory. Milorad Sedlarevic led the Panthers with 18 points, while Tristian Ross led the X-Men with 22.

Turning point:  The game was tight right up until the final minutes. Sedlarevic hit a corner three to put the Panthers up by six points with a minute left in the game. The X-Men tried to rally but the Panthers hit their free throws down the stretch.

 Individual Leaders:

  • StFX's Tristen Ross led the game with 22 points
  • StFX's Daniel Passley led the game with 12 rebounds
  • The Panthers Sedlarevic and X-Man Ross each had 4 assists
  • Ross had 4 three-pointers
