X-Men defeat SAIT in high-scoring affair

Sydney, NS - The StFX X-Men won their second game of the Capers Fall Classic with a high-scoring 114-106 victory over the SAIT Trojans out of Olds, Alta.

The X-Men used a furious fourth quarter to erase a 10 point deficit with four minutes left in the game. StFX were led by veteran Kevin Bercy who scored 24 points. Julius Antoine netted 22 and Tristen Ross scored 20. The SAIT Trojans received great games from Levi Taylor with 30 points and John Smith with 29.

Turning point:  With four minutes left in the game, StFX switched to a full-court press which the Trojans didn't adjust to and the X-Men finished with a flurry. They out-rebounded the Trojans down the stretch to seal the victory.

Individual Leaders:

  • Trojans Levi Taylor led with 30 points
  • StFX's Bercy led with 11 rebounds
  • Trojans Taylor and Charlie Conner each had 6 assists
  • Trojans led with 9 three pointers
