Sydney, NS- The StFX X-Men beat the CBU Capers in an entertaining tight match-up in the second game of the 2017 Capers Fall Classic. The two rivals battled in the second half and the X-Men held off a late surge by the hometown Capers.
Kevin Bercy (Kanata, ON) led the X-Men in scoring with 26 points and Martin Campbell (Upper Marlboro, MD) led the Capers with 29. Grant Dickinson (Alexandria, VA) had 16 pts and 8 rebounds for the Capers.
Turning point: The Capers cut the X-Men lead down to two, but some strong defense and big buckets by the veteran Bercy with under one minute to go held off the attack.
