St. John's, NF - The Memorial Sea-Hawks completed the weekend sweep of the StFX X-Men with a 98-91 win at The Field House on Sunday afternoon.

The X-Men jumped on the Sea-Hawks early, where Tristen Ross came out strong early on, pouring in 12 points in the first quarter alone. However, Kieran Hawksley wasn't going to let his Sea-Hawks fall too far behind. He made every one of his first five three-pointers, and finished the first half with a game high 19 points, keeping the Sea-Hawks within striking distance as they trailed 45-44 at halftime.

The three-point shot was a theme throughout the game for the Hawks, as they rode Hawksley's hot hand in the first half and beyond.

For the X-Men, Kevin Bercy was his typical dominant self, recording a double-double despite the loss. He finished with 18 points and collected 13 boards, while Julius Antoine and Tristen Ross both had a team high 21 points.

For Memorial, it was Hawksley's three-point barrage leading to a game high 29 points. Daniel Gordon also had a strong game for the Sea-Hawks, dropping in 27 points while shooting 4 of 8 from beyond the arc.

The Sea-Hawks as a team shot 56.5 percent from the three-point line, going a long way toward securing the victory against StFX's high-powered offense.

The Sea-Hawks are back in action on February 3rd when they travel to Halifax to battle the Dalhousie Tigers. The X-Men will also be in Halifax on February 3rd to play the Saint Mary's Huskies.
