X-Men basketball welcomes Nova Scotia native Tristen Ross

Antigonish, NS— StFX X-Men basketball head coach Steve Konchalski is pleased to welcome Tristen Ross to the X-Men program for the 2014-15 season.

Tristen is a 6'2" guard from Truro, NS who plays with St. Johnsbury Academy in Vermont.

Konchalski, who recently wrapped up his 40th season behind the X-Men bench, comments, "Tristen is an outstanding scorer with a great knowledge of the game, in addition to being a strong student. He is a great addition to the blue and white, following in his dad's footsteps."

Both Tristen's parents are graduates of StFX University. His father Chris was an all-star player with the X-Men and leading scorer from 1983-88.

During his time at St. Johnsbury Academy, Tristen scored over 1000 points throughout his four year career, ranking him fourth all-time in school history. He was the leading scorer in the state of Vermont in 2014-15, averaging 23 points per game.

Tristen will study Human Kinetics at StFX in September, 2015.
