Angela Wylie CAT(C)., M.Ed., ATTH, BScHKin

An Ottawa resident since the age of five and active in competitive synchronized swimming, Angela learned early on the importance of the role of an Athletic Therapist. She completed her Human Kinetics degree at St. Francis Xavier University in 1999 and went on to graduate from York University with a certificate in Athletic Therapy in 2002. After becoming certified in 2002, she took the Head Athletic Therapist position at Trinity Western University for the following two years. Adventure called, as she ran away with the circus to Japan, working with Dralion of Cirque du Soleil. Wanting to learn more manual therapy skills, she returned to Ottawa in 2006 and joined the Ottawa High Performance Center.  2010 brought Angela back to her alma mater as the Assistant Athletic Therapist at StFX, where she remains today. During her time at X, she also works at the Antigonish Concussion Clinic, counseling and triaging concussed individuals within the community. Seeing her younger patients struggle with academics inspired her to do her MEd in Policy and Administration. She plans to continue her work with athletes, injuries, and “life lessons with Ange”, while continuing her concussion work.
