StFX McDonald's X-Men Football Offensive Player of the Week
X-Men receiver Isaac Fagnan was named the StFX Football Offensive Player of the Week for the week of Oct. 6, 2019. Isaac, a third year Business student from Bonnyville, AB scored the X-Men's lone touchdown in their recent loss to Bishop's, scoring in the second quarter on a 29-yard catch. He also had 5 receptions in the game for 75 yards, averaging 15 yards per catch. On special teams play, Isaac had 4 kick-off returns for 54 yards and 9 punt returns for 58 yards. 

StFX McDonald's X-Men Football Defensive Player of the Week
X-Men linebacker Gordon Whyte was named the StFX Football Defensive Player of the Week for the week of Oct. 6, 2019. Gordon, a fifth year Business student from Toronto, Ont. had 9.5 tackles in the X-Men's recent loss to Bishop's, including 7 solo tackles and a sack for a loss of 4 yards. With the tackles, Gordon broke the StFX all-time career tackling record of 162. He currently has 167.5 career tackles as the X-Men leader, and also sits 11th overall in the AUS tackling record book. Gordon leads the AUS this season with 47.5 tackles to date.  

StFX McDonald's X-Men Football Special Teams Player of the Week
X-Men defensive back Jay Turnsek was named the StFX Football Special Teams Player of the Week for the week of Oct. 6, 2019. Jay, a first year Business student from North Bay, ON had outstanding special teams coverage in the X-Men's recent loss to Bishop's with four tackles, along with 6.5 total tackles in the game. Jay successfully executed a fake punt and rushed for a 20 yard first down on a key third quarter play. In his rookie season, Jay is currently 8th in AUS tackling with 30.5 on the season.
