McDonald's X-Men Offensive Athlete of the Week
X-Men running back Jordan Socholotiuk was named the StFX Football Offensive Player of the Week for the week of Oct. 7, 2018. Jordan, a 4th year Arts student (5th year eligibility) from Waterford, Ont. led all rushers in Friday's 33-30 win over Acadia with 166 total yards on 25 carries, averaging 6.6 yards/carry. Jordan scored the first touchdown of the game for the X-Men on a five yard rush early in the 1st quarter and added one reception for five yards. He currently leads the AUS and is second in the country in rushing, averaging 129.5 y/g with 777 total yards on the season.

McDonald's X-Men Defensive Athlete of the Week
X-Men linebacker Gordon Whyte was named the StFX Football Defensive Player of the Week for the week of Oct. 7, 2018. Gordon, a 4th year Business student from Toronto, Ont. led the X-Men defense with 6.5 tackles Friday night in their 33-30 win over Acadia. Gordon had five solo and three assisted tackles in the game in helping lead the X-Men to a comeback late-game victory. He is currently third overall in AUS defense and fifth in U SPORTS with 39 tackles on the season, averaging 6.5 tackles per game.

McDonald's X-Men Special Teams Athlete of the Week
X-Men kicker/punter Keiran Burnham was named the StFX Football Special Teams Player of the Week for the week of Sept. 7, 2018.  Keiran, a 4th year Arts student (3rd year eligibility) from Cambridge, Ont. played a huge impact in the X-Men's 33-30 win over Acadia Friday night, kicking the game-tying and game-winning field goals from 46 and 41 yards out, respectively. The game winning kick came with only two seconds left on the clock, not long after his field goal that tied the game with 44 seconds left to play. Keiran also booted two field goals in the first half from 47 and 39 yards. He had two punts for 70 yards and six kick-offs for 377 yards, averaging 56.2 yards/kick. Keiran currently leads the AUS in punting average at 40.8 yards/punt.
