Julien-Grant and Fermin receive X-Men football athlete of the week honors

McDonalds X-Men Football Offensive Athlete of the Week
X-Men receiver Kaion Julien-Grant was named the StFX Football Offensive Player of the Week for the week ending Sept. 24, 2017. Kaion, a 3rd year Human Kinetics student from Toronto, ON was an offensive force in Saturday's 37-27 win over Bishop's, scoring three touchdowns. He caught a 72 yard TD pass in the 2nd quarter and a 20 yd TD pass in the 3rd quarter, then returned a punt 91 yards to the end zone in the 4th quarter. Kaion had 6 receptions in the game for 124 yards and racked up 312 all-purpose yards.

X-Men defensive back Nathaniel Fermin was named the StFX Football Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending Sept. 24, 2017. Nathaniel, a fourth year Arts student from Pickering, Ont. led the X-Men defense in tackling on Saturday's 37-27 win over Bishop's. Nathaniel had a game-high 9 tackles of which 8 were solo tackles, along with 1 break-up. He currently leads the team in tackling this season and is 7th overall in the AUS with 25, averaging 6.3 tackles per game. 

McDonalds X-Men Football Special Teams Athlete of the Week
X-Men returner Kaion Julien-Grant was named the StFX Football Special Teams Player of the Week for the week ending Sept. 24, 2017. Kaion, a third year Human Kinetics student from Toronto, Ont. had 10 punt returns for 188 yards in the X-Men's 37-27 win over Bishops on Saturday. In the 4th quarter he returned a punt 91 yards for a touchdown, his third of the day as he also had two receiving TD's. Kaion had 312 all-purpose yards in the game, bringing him to 798 yards on the season, good enough for tops in the AUS and third in the country, as is his 199.5 all-purpose yards/game.
