Millar, Akers & Julien-Grant named X-Men football athletes of the week after win over MtA

X-Men Football Offensive Player of the Week
X-Men quarterback Josh Millar was named the StFX Football Offensive Player of the Week for the week ending Sept. 3, 2017. Josh, a fourth year Arts student (2nd year eligibility) from Ottawa, Ont. threw two touchdown passes in StFX's 37-0 win over MtA on Friday night. He was 21 for 31 in pass attempts with 269 total yards. This season marks the first one for Millar as the X-Men's starting pivot. 

X-Men Football Defensive Player of the Week
X-Men defensive back Travis Akers was named the StFX Football Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending Sept. 3, 2017. Travis, a fourth year Arts student (3rd year eligibility) from Whitby, Ont. led all X-Men in tackles with 6 in Friday night's 37-0 win over Mount A. He had 5 solo tackles in the game and 2 assisted. In two AUS regular season games to date, Travis is averaging 4.5 tackles per game. 

X-Men Football Special Teams Player of the Week
X-Men returner Kaion Julien-Grant was named the StFX Football Special Teams Player of the Week for the week ending Sept. 3, 2017. Kaion, a third year Human Kinetics student (2nd year eligibility) from Toronto, Ont. had 5 punt returns for 110 yards (averaging 22 yards/return) and 1 kickoff return for 19 yards in the X-Men's 27-0 win over MtA on Friday night. On offence, Kaion also had 5 receptions for 107 yards with 2 touchdowns and 1 rush for 7 yards, totaling 243 all-purpose yards in the game.
