StFX X-Men Football Offensive Athlete of the Week
X-Men running back Jordan Socholotiuk was named the StFX Football Offensive Player of the Week for the week ending Aug. 27, 2017. Jordan, a fourth year Human Kinetics student from Fort McMurray, Alta. scored two touchdowns in the X-Men's 38-23 loss to SMU on Friday night. He caught a 6 yard TD pass on the opening drive of the game and also scored a 21 yard rushing TD in the 2nd quarter. Jordan had 171 total rushing yards in the game on 30 carries, along with 2 receptions for 9 yards. 

StFX X-Men Football Defensive Athlete of the Week
X-Men defensive lineman Jimmie Cunningham was named the StFX Football Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending Aug. 27, 2017. Jimmie, a fourth year Arts student (3rd year eligibility) from Niagara Falls, Ont. had 6 tackles (5 solo and 2 assisted) in the X-Men's recent loss to SMU. He controlled the play inside throughout the game for the X defense, and had one sack in the opening quarter for a loss of 2 yards.

StFX X-Men Football Special Teams Athlete of the Week
X-Men kicker/punter Kieran Burnham was named the StFX Football Special Teams Player of the Week for the week ending Aug. 27, 2017. Kieran, a fourth year Arts student (2nd year eligibility) from Cambridge, Ont. had a punt average of 38.4 yards with his 7 punts in the X-Men's loss to SMU on Friday night. He totaled 269 punting yards and was inside the 20 for one punt.
