Ridley, Bell and Heidebrecht named X-Men football athletes of the week

X-Men Football Offensive Player of the Week
X-Men receiver Christian Ridley was named the StFX Football Offensive Player of the Week for the week ending Nov. 13, 2016. Christian, a second year Education student (4th year eligibility) from Dubai, UAE was honored as the AUS Loney Bowl MVP as the X-Men defeated MtA 29-8 to win the championship banner on Saturday. Christian scored two touchdowns in the win, both coming in the second quarter. He scored majors off 13 yard and 17 yards passing plays with three total receptions in the game for 48 yards. Christian was also honored Friday as an AUS all-star.

X-Men Football Defensive Player of the Week
X-Men defensive back Dylan Bell was named the StFX Football Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending Nov. 13, 2016. Dylan, a third year Human Kinetics student from Brockville, ON had 7.5 tackles in the X-Men's AUS Loney Bowl championship victory over MtA on Saturday. Dylan had five solo tackles and five assisted tackles and also had two break-ups in the game for the AUS champion X-Men. 

X-Men Football Special Teams Player of the Week
X-Men kicker/punter Jonathan Heidebrecht was named the StFX Football Special Teams Player of the Week for the week ending Nov. 13, 2016. Jon, a second year Business student from Camrose, AB scored 11 points in the X-Men's 29-8 win over MtA Saturday to claim the AUS Loney Bowl championship. Jonathan booted three field goals – from 48, 17 and 12 yards – and had two point-after converts. He also kicked three kick-offs for 195 total yards. Jon was also honored on Friday and as AUS all-star.
