Dickson, Kuntz and Tewelde named football athletes of the week

X-Men Football Offensive Athlete of the Week
X-Men tailback Ashton Dickson was named the StFX Football Offensive Player of the Week for the week ending Nov. 1, 2015. Ashton, a 4th year Arts student (5th year eligibility) from Ottawa, ON scored the game winning touchdown with under 5 minutess to play on a 2 yard run as the X-Men clinched second place in the AUS with a 24-18 victory over MtA on Saturday. In the game Ashton broke the AUS record for most rushing attempts in a game with 41. He tallied 226 rushing yards and another 66 on 3 kickoff returns. He finishes the AUS season as the rushing leader with 160 carries for 866 yards and also tops in all-purpose yards with 1320. 

X-Men Football Defensive Athlete of the Week
X-Men linebacker Adam Kuntz was named the StFX Football Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending Nov. 1, 2015. Adam, a third year Business student from Camrose, AB led all StFX defenders with 8.5 tackles in StFX's 24-18 win over MtA on Saturday. He had 5 solo and 7 assisted tackles, along with one break-up and an interception which he returned for 10 yards. Adam has 27.5 tackles on the AUS season. 

X-Men Football Special Teams Athlete of the Week
X-Men defensive lineman John Tewelde was named the StFX Football Special Teams Player of the Week for the week ending Nov. 1, 2015. John, a second year Arts student (3rd year eligibility) from Winnipeg, MB had outstanding coverage and great protection on the special teams unit in StFX's 24-18 win over MtA on Saturday. The X-Men scored 18 points on special teams and kicking plays as they secured second place in the AUS conference.
