Roseway receives AUS offensive athlete of the week honors

Name: Randy Roseway

Position: Wide receiver
Hometown: Ottawa, Ont.

Academic program: BA
Height and weight: 6'0", 170lbs

Wide receiver Randy Roseway of the St. Francis Xavier X-Men is the Atlantic University Sport football offensive player of the week for the week ending Oct. 25, 2015.

A fifth-year arts student from Ottawa, Ont., Roseway caught the game-winning touchdown with just 13 seconds remaining in the game in Saturday's 7-5 victory over the Acadia Axemen in Antigonish, N.S.

Roseway led all receivers with eight receptions for 69 yards in the game. He also had one rush for one yard and collected six punt returns for 17 yards.

With the win, the X-Men remain in contention for first place in the AUS standings and the right to host the Subway AUS Loney Bowl. StFX will visit the Mount Allison Mounties this coming weekend. If the X-Men win by at least 11 points, they will secure first place.

Defensive lineman Jesse St. James of the Acadia Axemen is the Atlantic University Sport football defensive player of the week for the second consecutive week.

A fourth-year business student from Pincourt, Que., St. James had 5.5 tackles (four solo and three assisted) in Acadia's 7-5 loss to the StFX X-Men Saturday.

These included 2.5 sacks for a loss of 14 total yards. With these, St. James moves into a tie for the most sacks in a single season in the AUS all-time record book with 11.0. The existing record was set by Axemen alumnus Karim Grant in 2001.

Position: Returner/wide receiver
Hometown: Bomanville, Ont.
Year of eligibility: First
Academic program: BA
Height and weight: 5'7", 160lbs

Returner and wide receiver Idahosa Yorke of the Mount Allison Mounties is the Atlantic University Sport football special teams player of the week for the second consecutive week.

A first-year arts student from Bomanville, Ont., Yorke posted nine punt returns for 95 yards in the Mounties' 37-6 victory over the Saint Mary's Huskies on Saturday.

Yorke also had five rushes for 26 yards in the win, including a rushing towndown. His stats also included seven receptions for 73 yards.

The freshman currently leads the conference in punt returns yards this season with 401 (average of 12.2).
