Hughes, Bell and Peters named X-Men football athletes of the week

X-Men Football Offensive Player of the Week
X-Men wide receiver Keon Hughes was named the StFX Football Offensive Player of the Week for the week ending Oct. 11, 2015. Keon, a third year Arts student from Mississauga, ON scored his first touchdown of the season in the X-Men's 27-17 loss to Mount A. He completed a nine yard pass in the 3rd quarter for the major and also had another reception for 25 yards in the game. Keon currently has 8 receptions this season for 92 yards, and is averaging 18.4 yards/game.

X-Men Football Defensive Player of the Week
X-Men defensive back Dylan Bell was named the StFX Football Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending Oct. 11, 2015. Dylan, a second year Human Kinetics student from Brockville, ON quarterbacked the X-Men defense very well in their recent loss to Mount A. He forced a fumble in the game and had two solo tackles. Dylan currently has 11.5 tackles on the season, averaging 2.9 tackles per game. 

X-Men Football Special Teams Player of the Week
X-Men defensive back Hayden Peters was named the StFX Football Special Teams Player of the Week for the week ending Oct. 11, 2015. Hayden, a fourth year Human Kinetics student from Inverary, ON played excellent defense on special teams coverage in StFX's recent loss to Mount A. He had a tackle for a loss of yards and 2.5 tackles overall (1 solo and 3 assisted). Hayden currently has 22 tackles on the season and averages 4.4 tackles/game.
