Receiver Brian Jones of the Acadia Axemen is the Atlantic University Sport football offensive player of the week for the week ending Sept. 20, 2015.

A third-year science student in his fourth year of eligibility from Enfield, N.S., Jones scored the winning touchdown Saturday versus the Mount Allison Mounties with a 53-yard reception with 1:05 remaining in the game.

This gave the Axemen the 25-24 victory, snapping the Mounties' 12-game regular season win streak.

The reigning AUS MVP, Jones had nine receptions for 121 yards in the win.

Linebacker Daniel Tshiamala of the St. Francis Xavier X-Men is the Atlantic University Sport football defensive player of the week.

A third-year arts student from Kinshasa, Congo, Tshiamala led all StFX defenders in tackles in StFX's 48-13 victory over the Saint Mary's Huskies Saturday in Antigonish, N.S.

Tshiamala posted 6.5 total tackles (four solo and five assisted), including 2.5 tackles for a loss of 11 total yards.

Height and weight: 6'2", 215lbs

Punter Kyle McLean of the Mount Allison Mounties is the Atlantic University Sport football special teams player of the week.

A fourth-year geography student in his fifth year of eligibility from Nepean, Ont., McLean had 11 punts for 400 total yards (36.4 yard average). The longest of these was for 59 yards and three were downed inside the 20.

McLean, who is also a wide receiver, added two receptions for 16 yards in the Mounties close 25-24 loss to the Acadia Axemen Saturday in Sackville, N.B.
