Five X-Men to participate in upcoming CFL combines

Four members of the StFX X-Men will be participating in the upcoming CFL regional combine in Montreal, while linebacker Ron Omara will attend the CFL national combine in Toronto.

Every year, executives, coaches and scouts from all eight CFL teams gather in Toronto to interview and evaluate the top Canadian Draft-eligible prospects. The athletes are interviewed by interested CFL teams, then are subjected to a variety of exercises and drills to test their physical abilities and football skills through measured drills.

X-Men head coach Gary Waterman comments, "It's always great to see young men who have worked extremely hard be recognized for their effort and abilities. The X-Men football players representing our university at this year's regional and CFL combines all possess qualities that any organization would want. They are high character individuals who are very talented and love to compete. We wish them all the success in the world and know that they will represent the white and blue well."
