X-Men quarterback Tivon Cook was named the StFX Football Offensive Player of the Week for the week ending Oct. 6, 2013. Tivon, a second year Arts student from Scarborough, Ont., threw three touchdown passes in the X-Men's 30-9 Homecoming victory over Mount Allison on Saturday. He was 26 for 36 in completions for a total of 274 yards. This is the second consecutive week he has received this honor.

X-Men football linebacker Sanmi Adereti was named the StFX Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending Oct. 6, 2013. Sanmi, a third year Arts student from Brampton, Ont. was stellar on the X-Men defense in their recent 30-9 win over Mount Allison. He had nine tackles in the game (7 solo and 4 assisted) including four tackles for a loss of 18 yards, two of which were sacks for a combined loss of 15 yards. Sanmi is currently 7th overall in AUS tackles with 30.5 on the season.

X-Men linebacker James Menzies was named the StFX Football Special Teams Player of the Week for the week ending Oct. 6, 2013. James, a third year Business student from Montreal, Que. played well on special teams coverage in the X-Men's recent 30-9 victory over Mount Allison. His hustle resulted in several touchdown-saving tackles as he had four solo tackles on the afternoon.
