X-Men football quarterback Clay Masikewich is the latest athlete featured in our Getting to Know your X-Women and X-Men series throughout the summer. Clay recently completed his third year with the X-Men and is an Arts student from Calgary, AB.

What brought you to StFX?  
My football coach use to Coach at X (John Stevens) and sent my information to coach Waterman. I came on a recruiting trip and loved StFX as soon as I got here.

What has been your best moment in a StFX uniform so far? 
First CIS touchdown pass to Jordan Catterall

One thing I cannot live without is…?  
Probably my phone

If I could have super-hero powers I would…? 
Be a mix of Thor and Wolverine

My biggest pet peeve is…?  
Someone not being where they said they would be, or being late

My dream vacation destination is…?  
Mallorca, An island in the Mediterranean

My dream job is…?  
Anything to do with football, coach, player, scout

Tell us one thing that fans may not know about you?
I got cut from my first team and when I finally did make the team I played tight end for the first year and safety the second.

FAVORITES:

1.      Past-time/hobby:   Anything outdoors, camping, hunting, fishing or hiking in the mountains with my dad and brothers

 2.      Food:   BBQ ribs and mashed potatoes

 4.      TV show:  Too many to choose from, Archer, Justified and Game of Thrones are some of my favourites

 6.      Actor/Actress:  Harrison Ford. Indiana Jones, and Han Solo

 8.      Sport (other than your own):  Basketball. Played basketball before football. Won a provincial championship in Alberta.
