Fitness Appraisal

The CPAFLA is based on the assumption that people are at various stages of readiness with regard to making attitudinal (how people think and feel about physical activity, exercise and fitness) and behavioural (action-oriented) changes in their lives and recognizes that a number of health determinants, client awareness, knowledge and attitudes must be addressed prior to implementing action-oriented interventions. The CPAFLA provides you with tools to assist a process of change designed to increase or improve healthy lifestyle behaviors and physical activity levels.

 

What is included in a Fitness Appraisal?

  • Appraisal takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours using sub maximal testing and evaluating
  • Blood pressure and pre-exercise heart rate
  • Healthy Physical Activity Participation and FANTASTIC Healthy Lifestyle questionnaires
  • Body composition, aerobic fitness, musculoskeletal fitness, back fitness evaluations
  • Evaluation of alternatives for change
  • Personalized Action Plan to follow to obtain healthy benefits
