Khyl Orser joined the StFX Athletic department in June, 2016 as the full-time Head Strength & Conditioning Coach. A native of Victoria, B.C., Orser spent the previous two years as an assistant strength & conditioning coach at Simon Fraser University, working with NCAA Division II men's and women's soccer, lacrosse, basketball and swimming student-athletes. He spent time preparing CFL, NFL and Simon Fraser football athletes in preparation for combines.

Orser coached Vancouver College track & field throwers, helping them win the 2016 provincial title. He also coached national elite/junior development athletes in track cycling and professional road cyclists for one season, including professional European and North American road cyclists and the junior gold medalist in the Team Sprint at the 2015 national championship. He has served as a consultant for pre-season training camps with NFL teams and coached a top 100 world ranked tennis player. A national-caliber athlete in track cycling and in speed skating as a sprinter for four years, Orser completed his Bachelor of Science in kinesiology degree at the University of Victoria, following up with a Master of Exercise Science degree in Strength and Conditioning from Edith Cowan University in Perth, Australia.
