Subway STFX Female Athlete of the Week
X-Women Cross Country runner Siona Chisholm was named the STFX Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending Sept. 19, 2021. Siona, a first year Human Kinetics student from Antigonish, NS came first overall in the 6km STFX Invitational meet, the opening race of the AUS season. Siona completed the home course in a time of 24:13, topping the field of 56 competitors. She helped lead her X-Women team to a first place team finish as well, garnering 22 points and five top-ten finishes.
Subway STFX Male Athlete of the Week
X-Men Soccer midfielder Nick Aquino was named STFX Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending Sept. 19, 2021. Nick, a fifth year Business student from Dartmouth, NS was a leader and strong voice on the field in two X-Men shutout wins on the road this weekend. In Saturday's 2-0 victory over Moncton, Nick scored the second goal and earned player of the game honours. He followed up Sunday with impressive play in the X midfield to help the X-Men defeat UNB 1-0. His squad is currently 4-0 atop the AUS conference and was nationally ranked at No. 9 to start the season.
