MacDonald Chrysler claims 24th annual Kehoe Golf Classic tournament title

The 24th annual Father Kehoe Golf Classic, presented by the X Varsity Club, took place Friday afternoon, July 28th at the Antigonish Golf & Country Club. A field of 32 teams of 124 golfers participated in the four-person scramble, which honors the legacy of StFX alumnus and former athlete, coach and Athletic Director Father George Kehoe, in addition to raising funds for scholarships for StFX student-athletes.

The MacDonald Chrysler team won top low gross honors (58) as the tournament champions. The team consisted David MacDonald, Craig MacDonald, Mark MacIsaac and Greg Sutherland and took home the MacDonald Chisholm Insurance Trophy.

The tournament runner up (59) was Atlantic University Sport, whose team members included Ron MacDonald, Felix Sampson, Anthony Borden and Scott MacInnis.

The recipients of the Irene McFarland Memorial trophy for the top low net score (43) in the tournament was the StFX University team, consisting of Kent MacDonald, David MacNeil, Patrick MacDonald and Jeff Burrows.  Bob Hale's team took home second low net honors (46.5) with team members consisting of Ken Pettipas, Allan Holmes, Peter MacLean and Hale.
