X-Women basketball forward Lindsay Lessard was named the StFX Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending Jan. 4, 2015. Lindsay, a third year Human Kinetics student from Waterloo, Ont. earned tournament all-star honors as the X-Women posted a 3-0 record in exhibition action at the recent MSVU Invitational in Halifax. Lindsay was the high scorer in all three X games. In StFX’s 71-41 win over Mount A she scored a game-high 18 points and had 11 rebounds. In their 70-69 win over MSVU she was again the game’s highest scorer and earned player of the game honors with 25 points and 12 rebounds. In the final game, a 68-59 win over St. Thomas, Lindsay scored a game-high 19 points and had 9 rebounds. She is currently second overall in AUS scoring (16.4 ppg) and sixth in rebounding (7.7 rpg).
