X-Women basketball forward Lindsay Lessard was named the StFX Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending Feb. 1, 2015. Lindsay, a third year Human Kinetics student from Waterloo, Ont. led the X-Women in scoring in all three games played this week, tallying 50 points, despite being on the losing end. In Wednesday’s 55-40 loss to SMU, Lindsay scored 10 points and had 5 rebounds and 4 assists. In the X-Women’s 65-59 loss to Memorial on Saturday, she scored 16 points and added 7 rebounds, 3 assists and 1 steal, while in Sunday’s 68-61 loss to Memorial, she scored a game-high 24 points, along with 7 rebounds and 3 assists. Lindsay remains second overall in AUS scoring, averaging 16.2 ppg. She is sixth in AUS rebounding with 7.3 rpg.
