X-Men Hockey defenseman Patrick Kyte was named STFX Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending Feb. 12, 2023. Patrick, a fourth year Business student from Pembroke, Ont. had six points in two weekend wins. In Friday’s 6-5 overtime win at Saint Mary’s, Patty scored two goals, including the game winner in overtime, and added an assist as he received player of the game honours. He followed with a nod as second star in the game Saturday with one goal and two assists as the X-Men defeated Acadia 4-2. Patrick finished the AUS season sixth overall amongst defensemen scoring in the conference with 22 points (6G, 16A).
